8YbSZs are used for SOFCs as solid electrolytes. 8YbSZ solid electrolytes have high performance. In this project the optimum states are investigated for %8 mol Yb doped ZrO2 binary systems (8YbSZ) in thin layer form. For this aim, the layers will be produced via tape casting method and investigated the optimum layer numbers and heat treatments. The produced thin pellets will be characterized for determination several properties and investigater the prosity and grain morphology

Bi2O3 based electroceramic materials are used for Solid Oxide Fuel Cell as electrolyte and tehese materials are synthesized at high temeperature range as 900 C. In this project, Bi2O3 ternary compounds doped with Erbiyum and Ytterbium at several dopant rate will be synthesized, microstructural and crystal properties will be performed by XRD, SEM and DTA. synthesized method will be Pecchini Method. This method is modified sol-gel method and it allows nanoparticle synthesizing. Also these ternary compounds were not synthesied and investigated before.

In this Project we aimed product of (Bi2O3)-based electroseramics. The Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFCs) are included two electrodes and one electrolyte materials. The electrolyte materials may be one of the Zirconia-based, Ceria-based or Bismuth-based materials. The Bismuth-based electrolyte materials have highest ionic condutivity, higher performance and power density among the others at intermediate temperatures (500-600 oC). So in this Project, the new type, doped and single-phase Bismuth Oxide based electroceramic materials will produced and characterized under severel conditions.
